By Cherry Moriones-Doromal

Manila Philippines-- The festivities of Octoberfest are popular among adults, we know that. But, did you know that October is also being promoted as Safety and Crime Prevention Month in the city, especially for kids?

Having this in mind, the Lucky Chinatown Mall by Megaworld Lifestyle Malls in Binondo presents a whole day of learning, fun and surprises for kids from Grades 1 to 3 through sponsorship of a special activity entitled "BE A SAFETY SUPERHERO", happening on October 26, 2013 .

In cooperation with the Manila Police District Station 11 under P/Supt. Wilson Doromal (Station Commander), Philippine Red Cross, Philippine Ling-Nam Athletic Association, Boy Scouts of the Philippines, TXTFIRE Philippines, this event will be highlighted by a "BE A SAFETY SUPERHERO" Mallwide Parade by  the participating schools, along  with some  guest mascots, conduct of safety workshops by partner presenters, and games.

For everybody's safety, the mall will be completely equipped with CCTV sets. Hmmm...Can you smell the excitement? I intend to send my own kid on this special occasion and I hope to get the chance to have our MGIS Manila students participate, as well.
